Behaviour In Class/Class Etiquette
We believe all dancers have the right to a safe, positive learning environment. Our staff want the very best for you and your training. Every teacher has their own way of conducting class, with their own expectations, please be respectful and receptive to this. Any negative, disrespectful behaviour, comments and/or actions on social media toward any SDC staff member, parent, or student will be addressed immediately. We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying of any kind. Dancers will be removed from class if they are demonstrating any inappropriate behaviour or conduct towards any other student or teacher. No exceptions. Please refer to our Code of Conduct for further details. Dancers should arrive to class on time, focused, and ready to dance. If you do arrive late, and miss warm up-please warm up at the back of the studio before joining the class, this is for your health and safety. If you are sick or not feeling well, please listen to your body and do not come into the studio.
Communication
All questions, inquiries, concerns, and absences should be directed through email. info@stratforddanceco.com We appreciate open communication, and will guide and help you navigate this season.
Parent Watching
Parents/guardians will be able to watch outside the studio. We believe the classroom is a learning space for dancers and we want to limit outside distraction. Please keep noise levels to a minimum if watching your dancer’s class. Dancers may bring their cell phone or iPad into class only to record routines/steps as a learning tool.

Change Room
We have one gender neutral change room with two individual stalls. Please respect this space and keep it neat and tidy. We encourage dancers to bring their bags/water bottles/valuables into the studio and leave them in the cubbies provided. No outside street shoes are to be worn in the studio. Please leave shoes in the cubbies at the front door.
Studio Gear/Uniforms
Studio gear/merch information will be released in early September. Proper dance attire and footwear must be worn to all classes as per the style of class. There is no specific uniform, however tights/bodysuits (ballet) and form fitting dance wear are required during classes. Baggy/warm up clothes may be worn for class warm up and hip hop classes. Hair should be pulled off the face and jewellery should be limited/removed for safety reasons.
